Brought my mountain bike to a repair shop to have new break cables and to have the gears tuned. It'll be ready by next week. Then I can start tearing up the roads around here, just like we did when I was a kid on Long Island.
You've heard about that wrestler named Triple H? I don't know what the HHH stands for, but, I'm the NONwrestler, Triple O! That stands for Old, Overweight and Out of shape. I'm going to start out with some short rides of no more than 3-5 miles. I'll work my way up to whatever I think I can handle. Maybe 4-6 miles! LOL
Always good to be "on the road again". And to take that first step.
Looks like a relatively flat area. I hope you good bike trails there.
Bikes are incredibly efficient machines (even mountain bikes, despite not being designed for roads) - I bet you find you can manage more than 3-5 miles straight away!
@AncientNight I've met some very unfit people who have given cycling a go to try to get fit and surprised themselves. Some of them were racing a year later!

Posted by CallMeDaveI've never been a big wildflower person, but this is the season for it here in Appalachia. Other people can identify every variety. I'm not there yet.
