Hello, I live in the warmth of southern New Mexico. There are several places to hike around here, we have the Rio Grande for canoeing. I have white water canoed in Big Bend, Texas many years ago. We used to pull water skiers in the Rio from pick-up trucks driving down the levy roads. They now have so many gates that it is almost impossible to do that anymore. I love to do outdoor activities but do not have people that are available or willing to do them.

My story and photos were published in "The Good Life Magazine" of May 2018.

"A pretty but chilly walk up Mount Sauer."

Cool, unfortunately I have never been that far north

That's excellent. Congratulations!

marmot84, Thank you!

"This story will brighten the lives of our readers in the May issue," Mike Cassidy, owner and editor of "The Good Life" magazine said. He saw my Facebook post and asked me to expand on the story and send photos.

For eight years, I wrote a popular, monthly column for the Wenatchee Business Journal. Mike Cassidy was my editor then, too.
