One of the problems with Linux, somewhat relieved in the last few years, is it's reliance on lengthy command line usage. I have had memory problems since childhood and find memorizing long command line instructions impossible. This is one of the great benefits of windows although the menu system for Linux is improving.
There are ways to make your own tweaks that will create a icon in place of a command line code.
