Computers are my hobby and I enjoy playing with them and try/use every OS I can DL and Install. I have several Windows boxes of different flavors, Linux boxes of different flavors, Android phone and several tablets, 1 Chromebook and 1 iPad. They give me many hours of enjoyment and a learning experience. My preferred Linix distro at this time is Peppermint8. It just installs and configures everything, even the Broadcom wireless. Mint is my second choice and I like Zorin OS for it's GUI.
But do you have Minix?
No. Operating Systems are a personal choice and my primary Linux distro at this time is Ubuntu Mate 18.04. .
And if it hadn't been for computers you would now be gardening - either alive with fork, spade and pruning shears or mower or if dead hopefully feeding the daisies, worms and bugs! ?
Not a chance. I never liked gardening or trying to grow anything. I am retired and enjoy traveling by car, train and towing my small camper and camping.
@jlynn37 Sounds like an idyllic lifestyle. We have about 100000 out here doing it. They are called grey nomads travelling in anything from clapped out VW campers through to $500,000 Winnebago rolling gin palaces with A/C, television, sauna, sat nav and expanding rooms.
Posted by FrayedBearAnyone using Android 12? Are you having problems with the Gmail app no longer working along with the PlayStore?
Posted by ScubaWagsWow, Windows 11 will have tiling windows. No one has ever done that before...
Posted by ScubaWagsThis made me giggle
Posted by OldMetalHeadThis is quite interesting. I knew Ubuntu would be high, but I honestly didn't expect it to be that high.
Posted by ScubaWagsApparently it's penguin awareness day today... I assume that must include Tux
