The other day I purchased a 2009 MacBook Pro from a friend, and loaded Manjaro on it. I must say, linux runs AMAZING on this hardware!!!

Thanks for that tip. I have only used Linux Mint and Ubuntu. I will have to check out Manjaro.

@ScubaWags I have only put Mint and Ubuntu on HP and Toshiba laptops. The one problem I see across 3 HP laptops with both Mint and Ubuntu is that they will not run on battery. I have not been able to solve that one.

Good to know as I sometimes come across people giving up MacBooks.

Mac hardware has always been good.

I remember wiping MacOS off, and installing AIX Unix on one machine... Back in PowerPC days.
