I have not been a good group member. Rather than continue to feel guilty I’ll post some stuff. First, about me: sobriety date 1/21/2013 (my second one). It was MLK day. I had a dream. Literally. The experience was a Dickensian-esque visit from the “ghost of my alcoholic future” and I became convinced to go back to AA. I wasn’t convinced I wanted what they had but I was certain I did not want what was steaming down the track toward me if I kept on doing what I was doing - which was drinking my face off nightly and lurching through each day at work angry about my pending divorce. I probably looked exactly like what you might imagine an alcoholic would look like as he slowly loses his footing.

Well done! I enjoyed the way you wrote it too. Witty too. I wish you the best for the future!
