Hey everybody, I'm new here!
My name is Fiona, I'm 18 and I've been wanting to get into quilting for a while. I was thinking that for a start I'd make a crib quilt for my friend's baby, though I'm not sure what to put on it. Any ideas?

That's a lovely idea. I could give you no end of ideas and there are lots available on the internet but it should really be what you want to do. Decide on the size you want then whether you want to make it in blocks or strips, what colour scheme you want, pattern or pictorial, then decide what you will do. Look at pictures of other quilts on the internet - you don't need to copy one , you can just get ideas from them. Or if you are a real beginner, you can buy quilt kits which help you every step. Quilts are really good fun and a baby one is ideal to start. And don't worry if it isn't perfect. If you wanted a perfect one, you could buy it imported from a Chinese factory. The whole point of it will be that you made it!
