From my Art Collage class.
Her name is Mafalda and it was created in 1964 by Joaquín Salvador Lavado (Quino) an Argentinian cartoonist.
I decided to do my own project (permission granted) since the one in the class's curriculum was a fish.
Mafalda's shoes were made with leather from an old wallet, her hair was part of a Panda bear's hinds legs...her eyes are buttons and her clothes and flesh are made of crushed magazine paper.
Suggestions for the next project, please?

My neice who lives in Mexico is a big Mafalda fan! That is very effective. I once did a big dragon collage since I had a lot of very fancy red and gold scraps I couldn´t think of anything else to do with. I thought it was quite good, but then I put it in a craft exhibition and it got criticised for the stitching not being neat enough, so I don´t exhibit any more! (I don´t mind putting photos up here - you can´t see my stitiching.)

Yes, Mafalda is quite well known in many countries. Although this comic strip is not longer published, Argentina has honored her with a "monument" on a Buenos Aires' square.
I am sure the other teachers in the class will criticize my Mafalda but, then, they always criticize everything. 
People with no skills...see mistake where there is none.
