Celia, Here's more optical illusions for you. I do a lot of them. Both of these patterns are by Karen Combs. Involves Y seams, but if that does not intimidate you, go for it.

It is going to be a while before i can buy the fabric for my Jewel Box quilt, so I am knitting one, to go on with, since I have almost enough yarn in my stash. It should make an interesting blanket.

@CrazyQuilter I think it is going to work though it may not look quite so three-dimensional as the slightly marbled fabric in the pattern.
