Hello, All. I'm something of an author, having self published one novel that sold 10s of copies. I have had several flash fiction pieces published in anthologies and am currently working on a new novel inspired by the superhero craze. Happy to share my work, be a beta reader or otherwise assist other authors. I primarily do science fiction but have dabbled in other genres.

Two questions: 1) If there aren't enough short stories to fill up the planned 150 pages for the book, do you think it's acceptable to include excerpts from novellas or novels also? 2) Do you think sci-fi/fantasy is the genre limit that should be included in one volume, or do you think broader "supernatural" (mystery) and dystopian (a la H. G. Wells) might be included too without diluting the focus too much?

Sci-fi/fantasy covers a HUGE amount of ground, including dystopian futurism like Wells and Orwell. As for what goes in the book, since it's your work, I'd say that's entirely up to you. My only caveat would be that these excerpts, if any, make sense and have sufficient internal logic to stand on their own. I hate a story that goes nowhere.
