I'm no dry empiricist either. I get that "holy books" have a cultural and historical significance. And that fiction (preferably properly labelled) can inspire wonderful and horrible behaviour. And that fiction can offer both useful and dangerous viewpoints on human psychology. I get that there is room for allegory and imagination in life. But elevating certain works of supernatural fiction into being exclusive blueprints for living and understanding the universe is nonsensical.
