Living in south AL isn't fun with my set of beliefs as a non- religious, liberal. I've now had 2 back surgeries due to my years of horseback riding and so far survived cancer. This has really escalated my believe that we need universal healthcare. But I still have my small farm and animals, doing it everyday while working full time.
I currently have 4 rescue dogs, 4 cats, 3 horses, a 1 eyed mule, 4 chickens, and about turkeys. Obviously I'm an animal lover. They are much nicer than most people!
I've been considering moving to a more diverse, open minded part of the country for several years now that the kids are grown and gone. Really interested in a career change too. The older I get the more I desire to do something that will make a positive difference in the world.
I don't believe in heaven or hell. But if I'm wrong then I think the only people going to heaven are people who actually do good to help others. If I'm wrong about that then send me to hell so I'll be with decent people.
I have a long list of interests that I bounce between. I edit books as a side job, have a pottery studio here at home, ride horses and camp with them, love cooking and make the best cheesecake you will ever eat. I usually try to grow a garden each year. Some are more successful than others in this southern heat and humidity. And I roast my own coffee beans.
