We are...we still are. Like how any times has the site been studied and we still don't really quite get it. (or we pretend we get it.)
Too funny! I sign walls and date them in hidden places when doing a remodel or painting job. I like to find unexpected things like that when I do demolition!
@CelticFire That is fun. I was strangely excited to find a matchbook from the 1950’s with a long gone local business advertisement, sitting next to a chisel, when I opened one wall. I remember that it was once a tradition to put children’s shoes in walls, as well.
@LB67 Fun! I found a Gibson Girl calendar from about 1900 when I did some work on our 1894 house years ago! Crazy....I didnt know about the children's shoe thing!
@CelticFire What an awesome find!
Did you really? How fun. I will have to remember that. I hope it was your work, so suddenly it will be worth a bunch of money, because, why else would someone hide it in the wall?
@Hathacat one of the sculptures was something I made, the other was something left in the garage by previous owners. I also incorporated shards of broken handmade pottery into the backsplash of my old kitchen. The rest of those pots are buried in the backyard.. I like to think of some future archaeologist being excited to discover something that isn’t mass produced plastic.

Posted by qpr81Trajan's column in Rome. Shame they put a pope on top of it. Even though this is a monument raised over a genocide it's still something worth seeing.
