a question about homo erectus in china.
I see that there is a migration theory of a pre homo heidelbergensis hominid populating the eastern asia land of china. Homo erectus. And then we see some really archaic genome changes in homo altaiensis (denisovan) suggesting interbreeding between denisovans and that earlier hominid. So that could make for some huge trait differences between when the denisovans crossed chromosomes with the homo sapiens and denisovans. Those huge molars suggest a huge jaw ... like giant huge. Ancient China may have really been a strange land that we have no clue about yet.
No doubt. A hominid landscape nothing like we see today. Let us not forget "Homo floresiensis" (Java hobbit man" ). A local adaptation of Homo erectus erectus, or a different species of hominid altogether?
so little hobbit dude is pre erectus?
@kauva I don't know, you'll to ask his partner. Lol. Actually he's listed as an erectus I think.
