After @John_Tyrrell found the paintings by mum’s dad online yesterday (see previous post in the comments) I showed them to mum and she said “I know that house!!!”
So we went to see it today.
Years ago it was covered in Ivy...as seen in the painting....but the ivy was removed to show the brickwork.

My Mother retired and decided to become an artist. I have a few of hers. Your Granfather was a good artist. I love his art. I have a friend in Australia who is an artist. Her name is Maria. I recently bought one of hers. I think she has a bit of impressionist. I really adore her and her work. I hope to visit or move to that area. link: [facebook.com]
