I can't stand Trudeau. I don't agree with that so-called Freedom Convoy either. But I think that Emergency Act is going way too far. Freezing people's bank accounts?! How revolting!

He was elected - they weren't. he will answer at the polls - from what I see most people are ok with it
He implemented an act of Parliament (passed years ago). Parliament passed that law for occasions such as this.
They wanted to "overthrow" government with their ridiculous Memorandum of Understanding. I'd laugh if it wasn't so pathetic.
Racism was on full display among many.
Real hard working truckers got their vax to protect themselves, their families and those who live in their community but these So Call Truckers threw a tantrum .

Call me dubious but.. your argument is bogus, We don't live in the UK. The UK doesn't live next door to "Merika . Using Boris Johnson as some sort of guide marker of Civility and strength of character is laughable.

This "protest" was poorly planned and naively executed. They outstayed their welcome and allowed outside interests to hijack their Action. In my opinion our government had not only the right to take this action but would have shirked the responsibility by not taking action. I think you fail to see the gravity of outside forces playing a part here. These are dangerous times.. and not because some trucker was stopped from blaring his air horn at 3am in an Ottawa neighborhood to make a point.

There have been many long winded standoffs in Canada in recent memory.. Oka, Pipelines.. the East Coast Lobster Fishery has literally been on fire for a decade with aggressive and at times violent protests that have included gun play. Canadian authorities know how to deal properly with legitimate homegrown dissenting opinion.

But buckle up because this is pablum. Wait until America falls apart. Like.. for reaL. It will be a flood. We can use all the practice at "getting tough" that we can find. We're the "nice" ones.. remember?
