Those are some interesting headlines. So much better than the headlines here in the states. I love the one where the thief returns stolen goods and leaves 50 dollars for damages. I knew Canadians were apologetic, but I didn't think their thieves were. So much better headlines to read. Thanks for posting.

If there is a shooting it gets major headlines in Canada, doesn't even have to be a murder, it could just be an accident while cleaning a gun. Mass shootings are unheard of.
@Surfpirate I can imagine. Canada doesn't have the gun presence that the US has. It's almost an everyday event here. So, I can understand that it would make major headlines in Canada.
@Captain747ex Actually, Canadians have about half as many guns per capita as our southern cousins in the US of A but most of them are rifles and we use them as the tools they are intended to be, varmint removal and hunting. When it comes to slaughtering each other with handguns the US is a world champion, Canada doesn't even try to compete.
@Surfpirate Unheard of mass shootings is a little of a stretch but it is a rare event. 7 school shootings since 1975

@Surfpirate Yeah, don't start competing, it's not worth it. I can see the rifles. Those would come in handy against a raging animal. We in the US have completely lost our minds in regards to guns. No one wants to do anything about except offer thoughts and prayers. Yeah, that seems to be working. I guess the payoff from the NRA is more important than people's lives.

@Captain747ex That's one of those competitions that Canada never wants to win with the USA. We'll settle for universal health care, a living minimum wage and a social safety net that actually saves you; oh yes and taking in refugees from the wars that we participated in because our last prime minister was just gaga about wanting us all to be Americans.
@Surfpirate As far as I'm concerned, Canada is beating the USA in every area that matters to the people and the planet. The US has completely lost its way. Sad part is, they don't realize it.
