There is a slow motion train wreck occurring to the south of our border in Canada and we are aware of it and we have said little to date about it. Much like having a neighbour with domestic problems, you are concerned but you don't really feel it's your place to stick your nose in. However, there comes a time when you have to say that's enough of that, there is domestic violence going on and not only is it disturbing your own peace of mind because you hear it through the walls but it is also the right thing to do.
So to my American friends who love Canada, please realize that we love you too and we are concerned for your well being as well as our own, so please just throw the bum out with his bags into the street because an abuser will always abuse you and claim it as his right until you show him the door.
