areneus juniperi .... an orb spider. this is my Googled guess. interesting looking critter. it may be on its eighth leg. doesn't seem to be very energetic.

Think I may have one of these living in my back doorway. Comes out every night and is gone by daylight. Almost walked into him ( more likely her) twice letting the dog out.
