The video and photos made me tearful, but I'm not sure if this is meant to help everyone in bereavement... What do you think?
Wow, I spend a lot of my brain cycles contemplating technology - and this never even faintly crossed my mind as a use of VR. It seems like it could be really therapeutic, or create nightmares for the rest of your life!
The technology that allows this to happen is amazing, that is certain, but I don’t believe it’s helpful to the grieving process. The mother is not being helped to accept the reality of the finality of the death of her child, nor is it allowing her to adjust to it, by this kind of virtual reality. Life can be very harsh, and nothing In life much harsher than losing a child, but not facing the reality of that loss, by prolonging it in this way, will not be helpful in the longer term. This is my opinion of course, and others may differ in their views.
I think your opinion is very valuable as it is referenced on lived experience, not a text book or the lab!
@Geoffrey51 Thanks...!
