Where are all of you from?
What is the non binary community like there?
I live in Creston BC Canada. Our community is very silent and hard to reach. I seem to be on the outside for the most part, but I'm hoping that will cha he eventually. The gay community is just as silent and invisible. My entire region is covered in pride but my stupid little town is so set in its ways that we're stuck in the past.

I'm in Durham Region in Ontario, Canada. I used to be pretty active in the LGBT community through our PFLAG chapter, but I didn't realize I was non-binary until I stopped attending. I feel like I've been seeing a lot more people openly identifying as non-binary, which is cool, but being agoraphobic most of my social interaction is online, so I haven't really kept track of what things are like locally, in-person.

I also recently got my photo ID changed to an X marker. I've told my mom I'm non-binary, but she decided it was too complicated (even though the only difference was just acknowledgement. I still use masc pronouns and everything same as before) and basically decided to ignore it/pretend it was never brought up. So when I was standing back to get my picture taken, she was telling the clerk I was getting it done because my goal is ultimately to get it changed to M. It's like, no e.e

I'm cis-male and straight, if that means people here don't want me hanging around I get that.

Through some unique circumstances I'm getting somewhat tied into trans community mostly in mid and N Utah. I also have a few friends in the Seattle area but I'm betting anyone there already has an adequate support network.

Very recently I was honored when a 2 year aquitance asked me to be part of his transition network.

If people in Utah want some pro-trans connections, feel free to tag or IM me.

You don't have to be queer or non binary to be here. Just supportive. It says a lot about your character to be included in someone's transition. That's a big journey, but a wonderful one.

I'm currently living in Thailand and everywhere I've lived I've seen mixed gender presentation people living normal lives and totally accepted by the community. Thai Buddhism accepts a Third Gender, so at least in areas lacking Christian Western influence, transgender and nonbinary people are accepted as normal and work in regular jobs.

I would describe myself as non binary if I had to choose a lable. I have a 14 year old daughter who hangs out with the LGBTish croud at school. she dosnt date (as far as I know) but most of her friends have had same sex dating experiences and a few identify as trans. We live in a small religious town like the one I grew up in and this was unheard of when I was in school 20 yrs ago. She proudly brings her rainbow flag to school events and gets mostly positive reactions and everyone borrows it for pictures. A classmate called her a dyke the other day but was met with angry response from other kids. I'm proud of her and glad she and her friends are able to work these things out and find out who they are in relative peace and safety.

UK here.

There isn't really a non-binary community here. We're still clinging onto the shirt tails of binary trans, with most focus still firmly fixed on people 'trapped in the wrong body.' They selectively embrace people who don't feel that way about themselves, to different degrees. Still plenty of Triple T's about, proclaiming people like us as frauds and 'transtrenders.'

It's improving, which is a bonus. But I don't see many positives in further fragmenting the trans community into binary and non-binary. It'd be nice to expressly detach from the binarists who feel the NB's are frauds and don't belong, but the only way of achieving it amounts to throwing the baby out with the bathwater. It's pretty much the same argument as to whether the T should break away from LGB.

Ho-hum.

Posted by BookDeathHere's a pic of my new haircut! I got it for ACE WEEK! The comet symbol represents GENDER NEUTRAL and the circle represents ACE.

Posted by BookDeathI FINALLY got my binder from g2cb! I bought one of the nude tank binders. It is proving a life-changing experience. I do not why I waited so long?

Posted by birdingnutI'm a nonbinary/partial transmale, but luckily I'm taking high THC Indicus cannabis oil for cancer treatment, which suppresses my strong male tendencies.

Posted by SkeezwazzleSooo Happy to be free of those testicles!! Day 7.

Posted by PeevesWhen I was in school for photography I discovered my professor was quite against gay rights and thought we just needed to meet someone good in bed and get some mental help.

Posted by BookDeathI also posted this in the LGBTQ group so it's a cross-posting. For Pride Month, I designed my own Chucks at Converse. I can't afford them (yet) but felt like showing off my creation!
