I listen to it for the sake of friendship but i usually withdraw into myself or wander off for time out when my brain starts screaming ?. Walking the dog in a relationship is a great saviour ?
I get to talking a little too much sometimes when I'm with my family. But put me with a bunch of people I don't know and I'm so silent it's like I'm not even there.
Very true. Some people just arent worth the effort. I absolutely cannot stand when people regurgitate what they heard on the radio on the drive to work, passing it off as if it is their story. Dude, we all heard the same radio broadcast on the way in, we don't need to hear it again.
I'm so socially awkward. I can be around people and feel like I could totally contribute to the conversation but unless I'm directly asked to join in I will just sit there and listen all day.
It's also what you talk about. Small talk (How about the weather today.. ) is painful. But talking about things of human interest is another thing. Especially if it is real and honest. If someone is struggling with a life situation or has had good fortune cross their path and want to talk about it in depth... I am up for that.
