Question

Hello, fellow introverts!
I’m an INFJ personality; I think I’m getting more introverted as I go a. Or maybe, I’ve finally started living in real life the way I feel inside. I can be very sociable, though I am also shy especially with a group. I was an RN, and in that capacity, I could talk to anyone.
Regardless of my introvert vibes, total strangers will be compelled to tell me their life stories. Which is ok, interesting. Anyone else get that?

Welcome, Carolina Girl. I have the same reaction from people. While I think I'm putting out "stay away" vibes, they seem to gravitate to me and want to be friends.... usually the ones who prattle constantly about nothing. It's very strange. And yes ...the whole life story thing. I get it constantly.

Introverts aren't as outgoing, which is dead obvious - but as a consequence it makes us appear to be good listeners, and many of us are. Therefore, we are easy "prey" for those who are compelled by their nature to be chatty.

I do! When I used to work retail people would stand at the counter and talk to me, tell me their troubles. I should have been a bartender, lol.
