Any social event where everyone is talking in earnest about topics that fascinate them but bore the hell out of me. Usually, it's centred around TV shows, TV series, TV personalities, and to some extent politics since politics and entertainment seem to be fusing these days. Another boring topic: their personal finances, real estate transactions, and of course, minutiae of their health problems.

It seems increasingly difficult to find anyone who can talk about something interesting, novel, amusing, poignant or witty.

disappear as in not there anymore?
OR disappear so that you are like a fly on the wall or like the bad guy who was just about to stab you can no longer see you or like you can grab and walk out of the bank with as much money as you can nab because no one can see you?

So long as I get to come back I think anytime would be fun to do that. I have no need to escape anything but a big cloud of smoke with a vanishing act at the end just sounds like a lot of fun to me.

When I was a kid we sent smoke bombs via wrist rockets wherever we wanted.

At parties. But that would only draw more attention to my exits.

I dislike confrontation, particularly face to face. I will stand my ground if I have to but I'd much rather throw a smoke bomb or throw on an invisible cloak. Large gatherings, particularly those where I don't know a lot of people intimidate me. When those days come I always hope I can pull the covers back over my head and skip to the next day! ☺?

Pretty much whenever I yell "Smoke bomb!"
