What will you do with your bounty?
Sauces.
@bigpawbullets How about some fried green tomatoes?
The Science is clear; fi you let the plants "run amuck" you won't get fruit....or you'll get small, easily diseased fruit.
TRIM THOSE PLANTS!!
You're such a task manager!!!
@bigpawbullets I've learned the hard way; Tomatoes, more than any other veggie, needs trimming to grow big fruit. Those images show very overgrown plants...I want them to have bigger fruit!!!
@Robecology
Ok ok. .. tomorrow.... we trim.... <sharpening chain saw>.....
@bigpawbullets NOOOOOO! Shears! Snips! lots of little cuts! Let me find and share a guide....
When you support them and train the leaves when the plant grows, they will grow to 9 or 10 feet tall or more. What variety of Tomatoes? I grow heirloom black tomatoes exclusively now, as I find them the most delicious of any I have ever grown.
I'll take a pic of some ripe ones Walt. They may be the same. I tried one this evening. Amazing flavor.
@bigpawbullets Look forward to the pictures. If they are different from mine, I would be glad to share some sees with you.
Critters seem to have gotten to my first ripe tomatoes, but I have lots of green ones out there... I'm sure I will get some of them.
We share with the fauna. After all, they were here first.

Posted by MikeInBatonRougeI love spring! Many roses bloom all season, but spring is when they are fresh-est, and abundant.
Posted by MikeInBatonRougeMy Dark Desire is blooming! (So many joke possibilities in that one, lol) this is a less well-know hybrid tea from Kordes a few years back.
