Death doesn't change what type of person you were. It just doesn't. Having said that though, you never know the whole story. And double standards still,unfortunately, very much exist. I guess this is a diplomatic way of responding to this.

Sounds like the kids just had it in for being her being unfaithful and abandoning them. Who knows, there is always more to a story than what's posted. Sounds like some very deep rooted feelings got hurt.

My daughter was thirteen when she asked much me, "Why do we have to act like someone was a good person when they die even if they were a total asshole?"

I never understood it myself, but I was impressed that she was courageous enough to ask outright.
