Hoffman was originally researching migraine meds (ergot derivatives) when he made LSD and we have known of the medicinal properties of ergot since the time of the pyramids.
Thought LSD just made you hallucinate, and want to watch Yellow Submarine?

@glennlab I'm right in between you all at 1968, at 26 years of age. (a bit of a late bloomer)
