This article is about Kant. It states the golden rule as the basis for morality. And it has some comments that support Sam's ideas of how common, universal morality can be derived from scientific observation.

I like the article, explains Kant the person, and includes insight into his 'Kantian' thinking. I'm more Hegelian, which counters 'universal right'. That said, I can see where he came to the idea and seemed logical to what appears to be his autistic mind. I would say he had Asperger's.
And this was hundreds of years ago. Great thinking humans are among us, always.
