James O’Brain
There is someone who broadcasts on Global Radio LBC using phone-ins that has instituted an excellent way of increasing SCIENCE talk. AND your own confidence that you can get answer to any none rude question . His name starts with James O’Br ….but it is not spelled as above.
It is simply a system whereby each caller can ask OR answer a question ( stating which at the start) . He,James usually chips in with comments or requests for clarification . He is particularly UNBIASED . There is an agenda sometimes but LBC provides a number of other presenters of the opposite field of opinion to achieve balance. I think it is a very free speech system and it is Rolled out on most Thursday morning . What you get is also some very good explanations if not the full answer you want.
I am not saying that James permits all possible explanations or answers . It is monitored . The only personal experience of James that sometimes affects his thinking but not necessarily his speech is that he was educated in a private catholic school but made good use of his time there in my opinion.
I would like to start something like his system on THiS forum but limited initially to SCIENCE and RELIGION TOPICS . QUESTIONS SHOULD BE ADDRESSED TO MY Science teachers group None religious SCIENCE GROUP - Any age of pupil . So ask (or answer) your first Science/religion question???? Should you so desire
. No limits except rudeness and time wasting and acceptability to other forum members
