Hello Everyone. I'm a physics Ph.D. teaching High School Physics. My Ph.D. is in heavy ion physics though I am not currently active in research. I wanted to be a prof at a small college somewhere but real life circumstances and the physics job market of the 1990's got in the way. I love my job and love teaching young people science. I also teach Astronomy at my local community college.

I must say, my high school Physics and Astronomy teacher was the one who helped me break out of the whole "God did it" mindset. Keep going, we need good teachers!

That scientists & advanced educators have to scramble for work is a very sad testament to where our country has gone & how far we have let ourselves lose our edge. I'm still wondering if "Idiocracy" isn't prescient!
