Last night my 25-year-old son told me he hopes scientists discover how to induce immortality before I die. He said he just couldn't imagine a life without me. I told him that he and his sister combined do not have enough money to pay for the plastic surgery I would need to remain looking human.

Your son sounds sweet.
I feel the same way about my Mom & Dad.
It's a little too late for Mom as she is suffering from Alzheimers now, but Dad is still a force.
(I'm almost 50 and the youngest of 4.)

That is so sweet. I recently heard an interview with an author who was 76 and her mother had just died. She talked at length about what a wonderful relationship they had had. They wrote each other every day and she was rereading the letters.
