This group has been very quiet, just wondering what all have been up to recently? Any thoughts on current climate, economic conditions? Xmas is just on here, I get my influx of kids (now adults) who did it tough in their teens, some have been coming to my place for almost 20 years, every xmas. So this is when my cupboards get cleaned out and in January all my preps get replaced with fresh stock. Have added food dehydrator, hand grinder, hand flour mill to the arsenal oh yeah, and a smoker. More importantly, have met up with a few new youngsters who share my ideas on being prepared as well as food jungles and being able to identify, cook and eat local native plants.

I like the idea of teaching young people about what plants etc are safe to eat. I am in two minds about prepping at the moment. In the UK we are supposed to be prepping in case of a disorderly exit from the EU but to do that seems like recognising that it is a possibility which I don't want to do. I always have about a moth's supplies in stock in the house anyway, but a fair bit of it is in the freezer.
