DV is on the rise. It is symptomatic of the dystopian society we live in. There is little in the MSM as it is not the flavor of the month. And social media is largely driven by what is aired in the MSM. The female/male stats on DV are skewed by many factors. For instance, it is common for the perpetrator to register false counter claims. As an ex social welfare worker, I see the DV prevention strategies adopted by agencies are often counterproductive.

It doesn't even have to be dv for perps to lodge counter claims.
More than likely there as many women out there who commit D.V. as there are men BUT men are often brought up to believe that they should either "take it like a man," or simply remain silent about it.
We should TRY to remember that D.V. comes in as many forms as any other type of Abuse, i.e. Physical, Emotional, Psychological, etc, AND not ALL them leaves visible scars.
I, for one, can attest to being on the receiving end of D.V. during my first marriage, I still bear the pains from the physical injuries to my lower spine and neck vertebra as well as the emotional/psychological unseen scars.

@FrayedBear Pretty bloody close to it if you count whacking me across the lower back with a square-mouthed shovel.
Plus her 'cooking' was bloody near enough to be declared as TOXIC as well.
@Triphid cooking doesn't count unless additives are made. A mate had his Filipino who he got up to Aust nursing standard at Sydney Uni try to overmedicate him. She is now only allowed redtricted practice now in Australia and possibly Canada where she went to try and fleece her next husband a retiring engineer with 300k in superfund.
@FrayedBear If you'd ever tried her cooking, ( she was the perfect example of the definition of a "Fitter and Turner cook" as used by Shearers, i.e. could fit good food into a pot and turn it into shit) you would agree with me.
One 'event' I remember quite well was her 'attempt' at making a beef stew, it actually resembled lumpy plaster that would be better used to fill holes in a wall, it so bad that even my 2 dogs simply refused to taste it.
