This is a big male wild Moluccan Cockatoo I photographed in Oahu Hawaii. There are several different theories about how the flock came to be naturalized there but all agree they've been around for many, many decades. I'm told it was very rare to see one of them down on the ground and this happened right by the road our car was on. My lucky day!

Nice! I hadn't realized there was an introduced population there. There are many escaped pet parrot species breeding in the US as well.
