I had my surgery last Wednesday, it seems like it was weeks ago.
Initially what i thought would be just a minor cut turned out to be a four + inch long ragged incision stretching from my collarbone to just below my ear. I wasn't expecting the difficulty with turning my head and lifting.
My sleep has been weird to say the least, I have had very vivid nightmares about dieing in the most horrid ways (at least to me) drowning in a cave as it flooded and the lights went out, slowly strangling and several others that i just remember waking up.
I guess I just needed to tell someone, because I feel a weight lifted now.
So sorry Glenn. When I was in the cancer ward I used to halleucinate. It was downright scary. It was very difficult for nurses to get IVs in me and somehow I visualized 3 teams with needles assaulting me. Some meds probably made me halleucinate but it seemed real at the time. Scary. I can imagine what you are going through. I had pain from a heart catherization I did not expect plus a blood clot in my lungs 4 years ago. OK now. Heal well and rest.
