She goes on cruises at least a couple times a year and has been to several countries off the N.A. continent. She likes finding people who want to go with her, there is savings involved if you travel with someone else. I am the great hold out. I do not find any fascination with the idea of riding around in a big ship on the ocean. LOVE the ocean but from the shore. (I saw Jaws, many times)
However, I told her a while back that if we can find a train excursion/tour that would let me take my small, spoiled dog along, I might consider a trip like that. It sounded like fun when I ran across some ads for train trips across Canada, although I would go on one across US as I am within 90 miles of an Amtrak hub. Still considering it, haven't looked in to their pet friendliness.

I rode Amtrak from Albuquerque to LA once. Now I know what a package feels like to be shipped across country overnight. Hahaha? But I was cooped up in one of those so called 'roometes' with a soon to be ex.
