I make 'ollas' for the garden. It's an unglazed clay pot you bury next to the plant and fill with water. It's like a poor man's drip irrigation system.

I'm in an upland desert environment. A few years ago I hooked a true drip system to my ollas just to fill them up every few days!
and frogs like the mositure too. Very nice. How long ya been working on the wheel? I paid the bills working as a potter for about ten years. Nothing practical like dinnerware or mugs but fun stuff. Candleholders, water features and table fountains.

I have tree frog that lives in one of my terra-cotta pots. It’s moist and cool in there. And I get frog song!
Salamanders love them, too! I've been on the wheel since 1984. It's my specialization. All 3 of my college degrees are in ceramics.
@farmboy2017 No degrees I did take a ceramics class to learn about glaze making. Looking forward to seeing more of your stuff.
