Just some of my works in progress...cause they're never really done...the crab is my attempt to control watercolor...the sunflowers my attempt with acrylics...

Attempt? Looks to me like you've got the acrylics down. Nice.
The secret to mastering watercolors is to let it do whatever it wants to do. If the end result doesn't turn out, it's blotter paper. If the colors run and puddle into a presentable composition, claim you meant to do that.

I've done oils too...but damn if they don't take forever to dry!
lol....they do. makes that "done" issue even more problematic.
@Freespirit64 Careful. Oils can be toxic
Very good. Don't think I have ever heard the term "control watercolors"
before. Isn't that the magic, uncontrollable medium?

Lol! Yes! I did mean that as a joke and figured most of you clever souls would pick up on that. It's really the most whimsical and lovely of mediums. But I have a control issue; I want to control everything! So watercolor is a good medium to help me let go.
@Freespirit64 i think maybe i need to pick that up.

Thank you! I go through "subject phases" and this was the flower phase. I'm currently in a rabbit phase...I'll share some of those shortly...they're just fun.
