Yes, the Nantan province in China, where the meteorite fell. Just about all of the meteorites on the market have a pedigree: information as to when and where they fell.

@Robotbuilder i live near Glorieta nm.There are meteorites here that people travel to find. I think the only ones similar are in Argentina. I can't recall the name of the crytsals that make them so distinctive right now

@Robotbuilder it’s so interesting. I have a fist size one from China. I’ve got about six different zones. And I’ve got different moldavites too. So interesting to hold something from another planet.

When viewed from the point, you can see a diamond shape. Also, small chips are visible in it. It;s definitely man made, and it's definitely old.

I have seen other rocks from that pile that sho' 'nuff looked like they were man made, but on examination, they were the result of rocks hitting against each other.

It doesn’t look like it has been worked to me. And it’s kinda the wrong shape.

Weathering can do some amazing things. Turn stone into shapes that would amaze.

@Robotbuilder I mean, I could be wrong. I do have a degree in archaeology though, and studied with an amazing lithic analysist.
