Sunday at Mt. Dickerman, WA. A bit over 8 miles round trip and almost 4000 ft elevation gain. Each time I do this hike I swear I'll never do it again. Having trouble walking downstairs today. The magnificent view is worth it though, as is the hope of flowers growing out of the rock on the peak.

I'll post some pictures when I get back from Oklahoma. The theater where some of the concerts will be was built in the early 1920's, about the same time that my Father was born.

4000 foot gain over 4 miles? That's almost a 20% grade. That's insane.

Yes it's a tough hike but the payoff view is worth it!

Is it a glacier?

No. There was a few heavy snowfields that should melt in a month or so

I always look forward to going up the rise and very careful descending.

Yes sometimes I think coming down is tougher. Easier to breathe but harder on the knees for sure!

Your pain is our gain!? Thanks for sharing!!
