The party system is bad, we need to learn to govern ourselves, [isbncategory.ru]
I'm not a democrat. But I don't think it's an even divide. I feel like the republicans have been far worse. They are both terrible and don't offer any real choice.
Do you support the Democrats' racism then?
@Jnutter819 I support neither.
@Bakunin Well obviously since we're libertarian, but the Republicans ended slavery and then Jim Crow. They've cut spending more often than Democrats, and when they have raised it it's usually in the military, which is one of the two government systems libertarians commonly support. So I guess to phrase my question better, what have the Republicans done that was so bad?
@Jnutter819 theyre part of the system. They continue to tax (despite what you say) and to bomb other nations for crap reasons and at great taxpayer expense. Republicans have shown incredible corruption in the current administration and that of GWB and GWHB as well (call boy ring!!) Don't be fooled by the Coke vs Pepsi vote. Democrats and republicans are both crap.
Look, I'm not a standard libertarian but I think libertarianism is alright and makes some good points. I'm more of a classical anarchist with some anarchosyndicalist tendencies I'm part of this group to test the waters. I want to see if there is dogma or debate within.
@Bakunin Oh they do tax, but not as bad as Democrats. Also, I did mention the military, and Mister Nobel Peace Prize Laureate dropped an awful lot of bombs too. All modern federal politicians are corrupt, including the democrats. They are both crap, but Republicans are a nice smooth solid crap and Democrats are explosive diarrhea.
Oh, and fun fact: Coke was designed before refrigerators and therefore tastes good warm, Pepsi was designed for refrigerators and therefore tastes best cold. So I prefer Coke, at 5'9" 123#.
What exactly is anarcho syndicalism? I'm all for anarchy as an anarchocapitalist. I figure people will mostly be just as orderly but richer if we get rid of the burdensome band of brigands best known as government.
@Jnutter819 hmmmmm. Anarchocapitatilism, or any kind of capitalism is just a watered down breed of fascism to me. Coke and pepsi are both capitalist beverages and I don't drink either. They are both crap, just like dems and the GOP. You may prefer the repubs more and that's your business. I cannot stand either, although to me the republicans are slightly more odious as they are the party of Ronald Reagan the president who brought psychics into the White House. The party of fundamentalist Christians and right wing conservatives.
Anarchosyndicalism? Look it up. It is an anarchist society based on socialist ideals but with guilds or trade unions to provide societal structure, rather than top down governmental authority.
All politicians drop bombs. The continuity between parties in this regard is astonishing.
@Bakunin Fascism is literally government control of business. That sounds a lot more like communism than capitalism. Of course you probably count crony capitalism as actual capitalism even though the definition of capitalism implies a free market and therefore anarchy. Capitalism isn't watered down fascism; fascism is the poison of government watered down with some healthy capitalism.
I find that asking people for their definitions saves everyone time since anytime I look up a definition somebody disagrees with it lol.
Quick question: do people have the right to freely choose to associate with those unions and guilds or do you believe in the social contract?
Basically if people are truly free it sounds good to me. Voluntary donations to some kind of syndicate would be alright by me, and half the reason I'm anarchocapitalist is because I want people to have more money to donate to whatever poor people are still poor without government breathing down their necks.
@Jnutter819
@Jnutter819 burn it down RIGHT??
Posted by SpikeTalonI kneel before no one. No gods, no masters, no control freaks. Screw the tyrants from both political extremes, and their agendas.
Posted by SpikeTalonNeither one of the extremes, and yet the best of both worlds...
Posted by SpikeTalonSubstitute the word liberals for progressives, and that would describe me as well. As for the conservative part, the socially/theocratic (aka, bible thumpers, mostly) ones in particular.
Posted by SpikeTalonIndividuality is a dirty word to the authoritarians (both left and right) in the world.
