I work for a major retailer and theft is high in my store. One thing they have us do now is check customers receipts as they leave the store. Today a customer who had a problem with this spat at me. He was out the door before I could notify management. I just wanted to vent.

That's because some like to treat you as lackeys. Strangely, most of those privileged people who have grown up with servants, are very polite. They understand that service is provided by people, with feelings, and who deserve consideration. (people of orange tone, it appears, buck the trend!)
