Against my personal preferences, I tried a brand of chips, Pacqui, because they make a flavor of notoriously hot?tortilla chip, haunted ghost pepper flavor.
Normally, I avoid foods with labels based on anti-scientific horse . In this case they advertise gluten free, non-GMO product.
At any rate, before anyone else here is tempted to suppprt this ignorance in hopes of a new sensation; they're really not that hot and have no discernible flavor.
I love it when non organic foods like salt are labeled no GMOs.
I'm not that fond of Ghost peppers. They don't seem to be very flavorful -- just hot. I like Habanero and Sriracha and Tabasco sauces for their flavors but I don't slop them on until the food's inedible. Even spicy food should be for the taste. Lol.
You're right. I felt guilty buying them because I hate to support companies that promote scientific ignorance, but hoped that just once the results would make one small contribution worthwhile.
I made a mistake.
Tabasco is my <3
That's my philosophy too. That's why I prefer to add crushed ginger root to food, rather than an overdose of peppers when I cooking.
