Do as I do: I nearly ALWAYS copy my comments to a doc file. I have about 100K+ words from FB and Agnostic, and quora,... I have found the need to reuse and expand regularly for new posts, and essays,...
A history of my thinking and explaining. Of course, I have learned and changed.
Keep a file of your spews.
I've been doing likewise for over a decade. It's amazing to see the range of topics and how ones perspective evolves. I also save comments from those who I feel are important and relevant. Only thing is I wish my file was more organized; maybe in categories. Are you organized?
I have dozens of folders: by type, by story (specific and general), thoughts, projects, misc,...
Five notepad files open upon boot: misc, misc ideas, notes, story ideas, notes. I am ready to make notes quickly. No need to find the correct file.
My main tool is "spreadsheet." Not quicker tool for writing.
Scrabble is close. When scrabble's auto-save issue is fixed, i will stop using spreadsheets. Happiness will be mine.
I want to start using scrivener more: total organization of writing projects.. Version 3 for windows is coming soon.
