Donbas Cowboy, the Russell Texas Bentley Story

Regis Tremblay's interview with Russell Bonner Bentley, The Donbas Cowboy. An American who came to fight with the self-defense forces of The Donetsk People's Republic against the US backed, fascist regime in Kiev, Ukraine. Russell has been disparaged by some, but after a week with him and his wife, I can say without any doubt that he is for real, honest, and an inspiring human being. Proud to be his friend and comrade in the information war.

I highly correlate with Russell. Even as just an elementary student, I had strong inclinations towards socialism. Questioning, staunchly watching basically everything going on around me. By my teens I was becoming quite aware of the illusionary use or words and terms, the lack of reality and substance behind the use. The hypocrisy behind the use. Stereotyping. You get it. Maybe not. Sadly, the many betrayals on me from understanding it and more. I have a long story that leaves the feeling that life in general has been one big betrayal though. A long one I'm still piecing together. The only person that really knows me is Mary who has took the time to really know me. Poor woman.

Anyways. Like him, I always had a journeying mind for the Asian culture and Russia. Particularly China. With my background of reading as much as I can on Marx and correlating it to the US structure, I also got to know Russia/USSR fairly well. More so in regards to Russia since 2014. RT has another great documentary on a clarifying aspect of Russia from the WWll era that involved a visit from Churchill's wife.

I first came to know Russell from an RT documentary a few years back. It was among one of the first of the Ukraine series of documentaries from this war. As you'll discover, he moved to the Donetsk region of Donbass from Texas in 2014 to volunteer in one of the local militia groups to help defend civilians. Later, after serving in battle, I believe he was wounded, he helped to organize with moving in aid supplies and rejoining families when Russian aid began to come in during the 2022 special operations.

I don't know if it's included in this video or not. As I usually do, read and comment as I go through an article or video to place my conjecture and previous knowledge, I'm still watching it. Russell was abducted sometime recently and tortured to death. The full story isn't out yet and still under investigation. Sadly this hideous act was done by 3 fellow Donetsk militia members of the same region Russell helped to defend and live among.

But what he says in the opening of this interview, a vast majority of Americans, especially, need to take to mind. A real American!
