Yes, I have read this book and find it to be a great reference book for philosophy. It highlights the important philosophical beliefs of each philosopher, and provides context that I find particularly useful. It is also the most up-to-date book I have found in that it includes modern philosophers as recent as John Rawls, Noam Chomsky, Richard Rorty, and others. I own both a hard copy and an epub version since this is now my "go-to" book for a quick reminder of the philosophy of some of the more obscure philosophers and philosophies.

Are you referring to the book by DK publishing ? There are a slew of good books out there now doing concise comparisons and intros on various philosophies and philosophers. All of which I find much more convenient than trying to read all the different works out there. Maybe it’s somewhat sac-religious but I prefer a pragmatic appproach at my age

I’m particularly wanting to read Immanuel Kant, who along with others described the scientific method, and Karl Popper, who described falsification. Further, at that time I knew little about existentialism and did not talk back to the professor who slimed it.
