For a great read I'd like to suggest Suzy Hansen, "Notes on a Foreign Country-An American Abroad in a Post- American World" this is her first book. She is a contributing journalist for The Times Magazine

That looks great. I think a criticism of how Americans think their way of life is superior to everyone else's is way overdue. My guess is that their education is to blame.
