It's another Federal Election Year and already I hear people complaining about Trudeau and how weak and incompetent his government is but I think they have quickly forgotten the alternative. I've never voted Liberal in my life but I am ashamed to say that I did vote for and give money to Harper when he was just starting out as an MP in Alberta. How soon we forget.

Trudeau or Scheer on a short leash with a minority government, a large number of Quebec seats to the Bloc Québécois with the balance of power, that would by funny.

Yeah..changing the direction in this country right now would be a mistake. Justin is not superhuman at anything, doesn’t pretend to be.
Considering the temptations available in this global political climate to be autocratic and leaning to the dictatorial we are doing just fine with an actual human being in the office. ?

Harpers job creation record was the worst since the great depression. Paul Martin left an $11 billion surplus which hHarper blew 18 months before the recession hit.

Trudeau is an air-head. A pretty bimbo with a lovely wife, his only asset. He possesses his father's arrogance without his father's incredible intellect and vision. He is also just as much a lying prick as the rest of them (cf. PR). The India trip and the current China row show how little he understands about the real world. He should stay in his room cutting out paper dolls and leave governing to the adults on his team, many of whom are excellent performers. Having said that, I shall without doubt be voting for him and working for his campaign. What are the alternatives? Scheer is part of the old Harper team and no one who was there can ever forget the appalling 10 years of Harper, the worst and most destructive PM we have ever had. As for the NDP, they traded Mulcair, another intellectual powerhouse whose only sins were a lousy personality and the unfortunate propensity be right all the time, for Singh another pretty boy with a permanent footprint in his mouth. Bloody Hell, what a choice. I'm moving to Iceland.

At least they have geothermal energy and heated outdoor swimming pools, 🙂

I never voted conservative and never would. After the Filmon Friday’s in Manitoba in the 90’s and how they treated the nurses. It caused so many many of us to head south. I’ve always voted the Liberal party with a sprinkling of NDP.

I used to vote Conservative but as I came to realize that the social contract had been broken between business and society I went away from it. These days I vote Green.

Trudeau is so far so good. The biggest disappointment to me was him stepping back on PR. Other than that, there is not much else he could have done in terms of economy and foreign affairs.

Ontario is seeing a backlash against the Liberals with the election of Doug Ford and his Tories. I think we may see even more Tories federally in the next election, particularly in Ontario.

Harper finished me on voting conservative.

If you thought Harper was bad, just wait until you witness what his clone will do. ?

@Science-guy Yes, I realize that.
