It will create an additional financial strain on their already tight budgets, potentially forcing them out of business. The fertilizer tax will also have a negative impact on the agricultural industry in Alberta, as the cost of fertilizer will increase. This will result in higher costs for farmers, which will be difficult to absorb in an already struggling industry.
We urge the Government of Canada to immediately stop the implementation of Justin Trudeau's fertilizer tax and to find a better solution that will not punish the farmers of Alberta.
