I get asked about kids all the time ... I always say that while I like the idea of kids, I'm afraid I wouldn't be very good at being a father, and so if I were to have kids I would need it to be with a woman who was the "born mother" type who was happy and capable of doing the bulk of the parenting ... does anyone else feel this way?
People stopped asking me about this when I stopped holding back my opinions about kids. I abhor the little crotch fruit droppings. Works great as a man as people then "sincerely hope/pray" that I get a vasectomy. I haven't gotten anybody to pay for one for me yet, so must not be that sincere.
If you were a woman some might treat you as a freak for not having or wanting kids. When I say I have none a common response is, "Why not?".
Expecting a partner to do most of the work in raising kids might create a lot of resentment with negative effects on the relationship and the kids.
I for one have no maternal instincts. I abhor children and would most likely killed mine by neglect.
lol, I get that ... I like kids, and I love being the "cool uncle" ... but I'm not sure I have it in me to be a parent ... and I see soooo many peope with kids who hate being parents or who just suck at it ... I don't want to be one of them!
